A belly band is like a diaper for a male dog; it fits around the stomach of the dog and keeps his urine inside the band. They’re easy to use and adjustable. Plus, you can pop them in the wash to reuse over and over again, until your dog figures out that lifting his leg isn’t leaving any more of that cool pee smell. Usually, he’ll lose interest in marking the house. Measure the dog around the stomach, from his back down under his stomach and returning to his back again. The belly band needs to fit snugly so that it won’t slide off and end up around his tail or ankles. When you get the right-sized belly band, stick a sanitary napkin inside the middle flap section, positioning it so it is right under the dog’s penis. This will soak up all the urine.
