How Do You Upgrade Internet Explorer For Windows 98?

0

Internet Explorer version 5.0 is the default Internet browser for Windows 98. If you still have your computer running on Windows 98, you can upgrade Internet Explorer to IE 6.0, as it is the recommended upgrade version for systems running on Windows 98. Although there are some later versions of IE, such as IE 7 and IE 8, they’re not supported by Windows 98. Find out if your computer has 16MB of RAM or more. In Windows 98, Internet Explorer 6.0 will take about 11.5MB on your hard disk, while on Windows 98 Second Edition, it will take about 12.4MB. Download IE 6 from the Microsoft website. Select a language other than English (if applicable) from the drop drown list. Click “Go.” Click “Open” for starting the installation immediately. Then click “Run this program from its current location.” Follow the on-screen instructions to install Internet Explorer 6. Reboot your computer to complete the installation. When the computer restarts, you will have the upgraded version of Internet Explorer
