How Do You Upgrade A Toshiba DVD/RW Drive?
When upgrading a Toshiba DVD/RW drive you have two different options. You can either download an updated driver to help increase the performance of your current Toshiba drive, or you can purchase and install a brand new drive. Although the driver download comes at no cost to you and a new disc drive can run over $100, the new drive provides the best performance upgrade. Launch the Internet browser on your computer and make your way to the Toshiba computer Web page. Select the support options and type in your DVD product number. This number (if you are not sure what it is) can be found on the cover of your Toshiba drive manual. Select the operating system you are running on your computer, then click the download provided.
