Garmin GPS devices offer maps and travel assistance solutions for the road, as well as the sea, air and forest trails. A Garmin device helps keep you on track, showing the quickest route to your destination. When regularly updated, a Garmin GPS is able to notify you of current road conditions, such as traffic reports or temporary road closings. An updated device also displays a variety of points of interest–including restaurants and shopping–which makes updating an ideal way to keep track of the world around you. Go to the Garmin website (see Resources). Navigate to the “Maps” tab at the top of the page. Click “Update Maps.” Select the device type you want to update.
