Updating a computer processor is a probably the most complicated upgrade of them all. In addition to the preparation required, you have to find out which processors, or CPUs, will fit your particular motherboard. Even if it’s compatible, an effective upgrade might require a new motherboard and possibly an upgrade of the remaining hardware. Shop for a compatible CPU with a considerably faster clock speed than the one you are currently using. If the new processor does not already have thermal paste applied to its surface, you must also purchase new paste. Put on the wrist strap and remove the screws from the rear of the case.
