How Do You Unzip Linux IMG Files In Windows?

0

While browsing computer software download websites, you may come across an IMG file that you cannot open. Some CD burning software for Linux uses the IMG file format, which Windows is unable to read. Use Magic ISO Maker to unzip the files from a Linux IMG file. Create a new folder on your desktop. Name it “Extracted IMG file.” Download and install Magic ISO Maker from the link in the Resources section of this article. Launch the program. Use the folders on the left side of the Magic ISO Maker window to go to the “Extracted IMG file” folder that you created. Click “File” at the top of the window, then click “Open.” Browse to the IMG file and double click it. The contents of the disc image will be shown on the right side of the screen. Click the icon with the green arrow on the top-right portion of the window. This will extract the contents of the IMG file into the “Extracted IMG file” folder.
