How Do You Untangle A Weed Whacker?
We’ve all been there. You finally got the weed whacker out to trim and edge the tall grass around the fences in the your yard. You got the weed whacker to start, and you were in the middle of your trimming. Then it stops working. It’s still running, but it’s not chopping grass anymore. You want to throw it through the fence. But wait! There is hope, and you can fix it. Follow these easy steps. When the weed whacker stops cutting, but is still on, try tapping the ground with the trimming head two or three times to get the plastic wire spinning again. Keep your finger on the gas during the tapping. If the wire doesn’t come out with a few gentle taps, try tapping it harder on the ground. Sometimes one good hard tap will jangle the wire loose. Turn off the weed whacker and turn it upside down. Push the round center piece in and twist, pulling the wire spool out. Find the tangled nylon wire and pull it free, stretching it about 6 inches and threading it through the exit hole. Turn the weed
