The Pacific DVD player is a compact unit designed to provide a competitively priced alternative to more expensive models. The region (or “country”) code locking the Pacific so that it can only play DVDs with the same region code can be unlocked. This will let the Pacific play a legally owned commercial DVD no matter what region it was intended for. The process requires entering a few codes using the player’s remote–no physical modification of the DVD player will be necessary. Turn the Pacific DVD player on using the power button on the remote. Press the “Open/Close” button on the remote. Wait for the disc tray to eject from the player. Press the “Clear” button on the remote. Press the following buttons on the remote in this order: 1, 3, 6, 9. Press the “Open/Close” button on the remote. The Pacific DVD player’s region lock will be disengaged once the disc tray has closed.
