How Do You Unlock A Gateway Laptop Computer?
Gateway laptop computers (and all Windows computers) come with a system locking feature. This feature is handy for when someone needs to step away from their computer and doesn’t want to completely log out and have to restart a work session. When one locks their computer, the login password will be required before one is able to access the system again. This is often far preferred over logging out, as all open documents and programs will stay running, unlike when logged out. Unlocking a gateway laptop is quite simple. Lift the lid of your laptop (if closed), or move the mouse or mouse pad to turn your screen on (if it is off). Input your password into the provided field. This is your usual login password. Hit “Enter” or press “Go” to unlock your Gateway laptop and resume your work session. Your computer should be just as you left it.
