How Do You Uninstall Windows Vista Ultimate?
Uninstalling Vista Ultimate may be necessary if you discover you prefer another version of Windows altogether. The only method for uninstalling a full retail version of Vista Ultimate is to overwrite its installation with another version of Windows. This will erase the data currently on your hard drive, so make backups of any important files before beginning. Insert the Windows CD into the computer. Restart the computer and press any key to boot from CD. Press “Enter” then “F8” to move to the installation selection screen. Highlight the drive containing Vista Ultimate (typically “C”) and press “Enter.” This will reinstall your other operating system, overwriting Vista Ultimate. Input in additional details when prompted, including your product ID number and network information.
