Avast Antivirus is a security tool that allows you to protect your computer from network intrusions as well as dangerous threats such as viruses, trojans and spyware. You may need to uninstall this Avast Antivirus if you want to install and use an anti-virus program developed by another company, or if you are simply having issues with the current version you are using. Avast Antivirus comes with an uninstall utility that allows you to remove the program safely. Go to the Avast Uninstall Utility page and click the “aswClear5.exe” link (see Resources). When prompted, click “Save” to launch the file-saving dialog box. Save the aswClear5.exe uninstall utility to your desktop. Close all open programs and restart your computer.
