How Do You Uninstall Outlook Express From Windows XP?

In an effort to help customers do more with their computers without the need for third-party software, Microsoft includes an email client–Outlook Express–with Windows XP. However, if you prefer a third-party program or webmail provider, you may not want to have Outlook Express consuming hard drive space on your computer. You should uninstall Outlook Express if you do not use it to send and receive email. Doing so isn’t difficult. Click “Start” and then click “Control Panel.” Double-click “Add or Remove Programs” if the Control Panel is in Classic View, or click it a single time if the Control Panel is in Category View. Click the “Add/Remove Windows Components” button on the left side of the window. Remove the check from the box next to “Outlook Express,” then click “Next.” Click “Finish,” then close the “Add or Remove Programs” window and the Control Panel.
