How Do You Uninstall Norton Antivirus 2002?
Norton AntiVirus 2002, created by Symantec, is used as a preventive computer program to keep viruses and other malware from infecting a computer. It provides an extensive firewall and regularly scans the computer for infections. Of course, as of July 31, 2009, Norton AntiVirus 2002 is almost seven years removed from the newest version, and there are many other adequate computer virus programs available on the market today. If you purchase one of these newer versions, you may need to remove Norton AntiVirus 2002. Step 1 Click “Start” and then “Control Panel.” Once the Control Panel loads, select “Add and Remove Programs.” Step 2 Scroll down until you find “Norton AntiVirus 2002.” Select it; then click “Remove.” You will be asked if you are sure you want to remove the program. Click “Yes,” and the majority of the program will be removed. A few remnants will remain that will require you to go into the computer and remove them. Step 3 Close out “Control Panel” and click open “My Computer.”
