How Do You Uninstall Microsoft Updates In Windows XP?
Whenever you install an update for your Windows XP computer, a record of that update is made in the operating system so that–if necessary–you can refer to it and remove it at a later date in time. While updates should not normally need to be uninstalled, it is possible for situations to arise wherein the update causes unforeseen problems with your computer. Click on the “Start” button, click on the “Control Panel” and then open the “Add/Remove Programs” utility. Click the check box at the top of the window marked “Show Updates” and then wait for the list of currently installed Windows updates to populate in the window. Click on the update that you wish to remove and click the “Remove” button. The update is uninstalled from your computer.
