McAfee Internet Security program protects computers from harmful viruses and spyware while we use the Internet. There are times when, for various reasons, you may need to uninstall the McAfee antivirus program. This can usually be accomplished in a few simple steps. If the first option for uninstalling McAfee does not work, try the second option, which involves only one or two more steps. Close all open programs on the computer. Left click on “Start” on your desktop screen. Left click on “Control Panel.” Select the “Add/Remove Programs” option. Wait for the installed programs list to load. When it does, scroll down to the “McAfee” program entry. Click on the entry. Click on “Remove” in the bottom right corner of the highlighted entry. Wait for confirmation stating that the program has been removed, and then restart your computer. Close all open programs and internet windows, and open the “Start” menu from your desktop. Select “Run” and type in the foler name “c:\programfiles\mcafee.com
