If you are experiencing issues with Internet Explorer 5, you may want to revert to an earlier, more reliable version of the Web browser. It is advised that you do not completely remove Internet Explorer from your computer because that may cause issues on your Windows computer. After you uninstall Internet Explorer 5, it automatically gets reset to the version prior to that. Click the Start button at the bottom of the screen. Select “Control Panel.” Open “Add/Remove Programs.” Select “Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools” from the program list. Click “Restore the previous Windows configuration” and click “OK.” Click “OK” when the Internet Explorer set up screen appears to confirm that you want to uninstall IE5 and restore an older version.
