How Do You Uninstall AVG From Windows XP?
AVG is an antivirus program that is compatible with Windows XP operating systems. It lets you search for and remove malicious programs such as spyware and viruses. If you are no longer using AVG and plan to install a different antivirus program, you should uninstall AVG from your computer to free up hard drive and memory space. Click the Windows “Start” button and click “Run” to launch the command box. Type “appwiz.cpl” (without quotes) and press “Enter” to launch the installed programs window. Scroll through the programs window and click the version of AVG running on your computer. Click “Change/Remove.” When prompted, confirm that you want to uninstall the antivirus program. Follow the guided prompts to complete the uninstall. When prompted, restart your computer. Delete the AVG folder after restarting your computer.
