Checks stamped with NSF, Stop Payment, RTM, Account Closed, Frozen, Refer to Maker, Not Sufficient Funds, Uncollected Funds, UTL, Forged, Unable to Locate, Non-DDA Account, or other reasons for return can be identified. Some items may be available for redeposit, while others are not. Locate the reason for return on your check. This may be stamped, handwritten or imprinted on the face of the check. Determine from below which message is on the item. Endorsement Missing – Endorsement – If a check or check draft is returned due to endorsement missing, this is because the depositor, not the account holder that issued the check, did not endorse the item.
