How Do You Uncover Brick Lawn Edging?
Brick edging along a lawn provides an attractive border, but it must be maintained regularly or the lawn grasses and weeds will overtake the edging, shielding it from view. Fortunately, grasses that have grown up over brick edging can be removed with the proper tools, and the same procedure for uncovering edging can be used to maintain it. Put on goggles to protect your eyes from any debris that may fly up while uncovering the edging. Use the string trimmer to cut away all the weeds and grasses that are currently covering the brick edging. Rake the trimmings away from the brick edging and dispose of them by throwing them away or placing into a compost heap. Brush the edge with a straw broom for a neat edge. Examine the edge to identify any remaining pieces of grass. Repeat the steps above if necessary, or simply snip away the remaining pieces with garden shears.
