How do you unclog a can of insulation foam (i.e. Dow Great Stuff)?

They are not always one use cans. As a sculptor, I use the stuff all the time, and save partial cans for later use. I’ve reused at least 50 cans in the past 10 years. You have to be VERY careful with this, but it can be done. Take a coarse thread drywall screw and thread it into the end of the nozzle where the “great stuff” is dried. Once you get it just a couple of turns into the dried foam, the screw should grip the foam, and you can pull the clog straight out. This doesn’t always work. But it might save you a couple bucks, so it’s worth a try. Also, you have to be very very careful sticking anything into a pressurized can. So if you don’t know what you are doing, don’t do it.
