How Do You Turn Off Windows Pop-Up Blocker?
Pop-ups, or pop-up ads, are the annoying windows that are displayed by various websites when you surf the Internet. Although you can download and use third-party pop-up blocking software, the Windows operating system has its own tool embedded with the built-in Internet Explorer Web browser. Besides blocking pop-ups, the Windows pop-up blocker allows you to view stopped content, set up a desired filter level and create a list of websites with accepted pop-ups. However, if this tool prevents you from viewing legitimate content, then you can turn it off with a few mouse clicks. Start the Internet Explorer browser and click the “Tools” menu option. Select “Internet Options” and click the “Privacy” tab.
