“Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today, I’m going to show you how to turn off automatic Spell Checking in Microsoft Word. Let’s open Microsoft Word, and as you type, if you misspell a word, you’ll notice that any misspelled words, get underlined in red. We’re going to turn this off. To do so, go to Tools, and select Options. Select the Spelling and Grammar Tab, and uncheck the check spelling as you type check box. Once you’ve done that, just click ok. You’ll notice now that those red lines have gone away, and as I mistype text, it is no longer being underlined automatically. It’s that easy to turn off the Automatic Spell Checker.
