How Do You Turn Cheap Curtain Rods Into Something Special?
If you are like I am and have very few woodworking skills, you may wish to try a very easy, low-cost way to upgrade metal curtain rods. The benefits of this project are that: 1: The metal store-bought rods are amazingly inexpensive. 2: They already fit perfectly without having to do any carpentry. 3: They usually even come with mounting hardware! Step 1 Make sure the metal curtain rod fits the window you will need it for. Measure your window first. The rods come in different lengths and are adjustable. Step 2 Decide what “look” you are going for. In a living or dining room you may want a more upscale look. Black, gold or silver metallic may work best for these rods. In a child’s room you may want a bright primary color to coordinate with the child’s bedroom decor. Spray paint or sponge paint the rods to coordinate with the decor.
