How Do You Try To Educate Yourself?
This is about the way the author educated himself and earned a college degree. The word educate is derived from Latin and literally means to develop from within. There are many people that don’t fit the norm by spending many years of their life in a classroom. In some cases there is a physical problem that prevents them from becoming good students. At other times there is apt to be family problems that are the driving force preventing someone from gaining a formal education. These problems are being addressed by society in a number of different ways. One of these methods is the alternate education system usually designed for grades 9 through 12. Other programs are designed to award degrees for life experiences. One of these programs is Excelsior College, a part of the University of the State of New York’s higher system. This college will award college credits based on lifetime experiences as well as self study that is graded by tests developed by the college to measure your proficiency
