How Do You Troubleshoot Windows Media Player 11?
Microsoft released its Windows Media Player 11 on Oct. 30, 2006. The digital player makes it easy for you to enjoy music, videos, pictures and even recorded television on your computer. You can use Windows Media Player to rip and burn CDs, burn DVDs, or sync with other devices, such as an MP3 player. Disable the “Show Shadows under Menu” option in Windows Vista if your Windows Media Player 11 is unresponsive. Click the “Start” button and type “Personalization” into the “Start Search” box. Open “Personalization” and go to “Window Color and Appearance.” Click the “Open Classic Appearance” link at the bottom of the window. Click the “Effects” button and clear the “Show Shadows under Menus” check box. Troubleshoot a blank screen when you try to play a DVD movie using Windows Media Player 11. If you hear the DVD’s audio but do not see a video, press the “Esc” key on the keyboard to exit the full-screen view. Close Windows Media Player 11 and restart the computer.
