How Do You Troubleshoot Windows Explorer Stopped Working?

0

Windows Explorer is one of the default Windows systems used for navigating through the contents of your computer’s drives. Windows Explorer failing to respond or halting in the middle of an operation can signal a larger computer problem with the operating system that needs to be addressed. This can generally be done through the System Restore utility, repairing the operating system if required. Click “Start” and type “System Restore” into the “Search” box. Press “Enter” and select the option to “Use a different restore point.” Choose a restore point that was prior to the point where Windows Explorer began exhibiting odd behavior. Press “Next” to restore the computer. Continue to Section 2 if this fails to resolve the problem. Insert the Windows CD into the computer. Restart the PC and press any key to boot from CD. Select your language from the menu, along with your keyboard layout and currency.
