How Do You Troubleshoot & Repair A Washing Machine?
If you’re used to using your washing machine frequently, one of the last things you’ll want to do when it stops working or malfunctions is take your clothes to a laundromat. Paying an appliance repairman to fix the machine isn’t a very appealing option either. Consider troubleshooting and repairing the washing machine yourself. With a couple of supplies and some instructions, you can troubleshoot and repair your washing machine and have it operating again in no time. Check that the washing machine is plugged into the electrical outlet if it won’t run. Also check for a blown fuse at the circuit box in your home. Replace the fuse if necessary. See if the water inlet screens are blocked if the washer won’t fill. The screens are usually located at the end of the supply hose. You might have to remove the back panel to reach them. Clean and replace them if necessary. Examine the timer on the front control panel to see if it is functioning by setting it. If it doesn’t move, it isn’t working.
