How Do You Troubleshoot & Repair A Sceptre X20 LCD Monitor?
The Sceptre X20WG is a 20-inch LCD monitor used with computer systems. You can encounter the same problems as with a standard TV, including the picture cutting in and out, the image appearing squished and a light burn-in on the screen. Although you cannot correct the light burn-in (this is permanent damage and the monitor needs replacing), all other issues are correctable. Examine the connections running from the LCD monitor to the computer. Make sure the cables are inserted completely and the screws on the sides of the cables are hand tight. This ensures a secure connection and prevents the picture from dropping off. Push the “Menu” selection option button on the Scepter X20 monitor. A series of images appear on the screen, all representing different adjustment options. Choose the “Aspect” option if the image does not take up the full screen.
