Microsoft Office XP Professional is a special edition of the office suite of products and was released by Microsoft in 2002. The package includes popular MS Office programs such as Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel. Since it was released several years ago, support options are limited. You can however perform some troubleshooting on your own if you run into a problem. Check for software updates. Microsoft will often offer free service packs on its suite of products. Check the Microsoft Office XP Professional product page to make sure you have all current updates installed. Uninstall Microsoft Office XP Professional. Go to “Add/Remove Programs” and delete the MS Office XP files. Place the installation CD-ROM into your computer’s driver to reinstall the software. Review any error messages that you may receive when working in Microsoft Office XP Professional. A sampling of error messages that you may see include Error 1904, Error 1919 or Runtime Error 462.
