Microsoft recommends using Microsoft Office 2007 with Windows Vista. However, many users prefer previous versions of Microsoft Office, including Office 2000. When using Microsoft Excel 2000 with Windows Vista, some problems may occur. Most of these problems are fairly easy to troubleshoot, and can be fixed by computer users of any skill level. Excel 2000 is compatible with Windows Vista as long as you maintain Windows updates. Updates are also available in order to view Excel 2007 files in Excel 2000. Install all Windows updates at Microsoft. Select “Express.” Review updates and select “Install.” Allow updates to download and install. Restart your computer when prompted.
