Troubleshooting your garage door opener is something nearly every home owner will face. The two parts that need checking are the door mechanism (door springs, hinged door panel sections, latch and track with rollers) and lift system (the door opener that includes a chain or belt driven by an electric motor). Secure any loose brackets back into the framing unit. Use a level to ensure the vertical portion of the garage door tracks are straight and properly aligned with one another.
