How Do You Troubleshoot Automobile Heater Problems?
The heater in your automobile is essential for keeping you warm when it’s cold outside. When the heater is not working right, it could be due to several issues. Before taking your vehicle to the mechanics, troubleshoot the heater to help pinpoint the problem. Start the vehicle and turn the fan speed on “high.” Set the heat to the hottest setting. Open the hood and grab the upper radiator hose. Wait for the vehicle to warm up. This hose should become warmer until you can no longer hold onto the hose. Check the hose running from the radiator to the heater coil assembly. This hose should be warm. Be careful as it might be rather hot. If the hose is not hot, then coolant is not being supplied to the heater core. You may have a blockage in the heater hose. You may need to have the entire cooling system flushed by a professional mechanic if this is the case. If the heater hose is hot, but there is no heat coming from the heater vents, then you have a faulty heater core that needs to be repla
