How Do You Troubleshoot An LG Refrigerator Ice Maker?
Before you call a repairman to look at your LG refrigerator’s ice maker, try to save money by troubleshooting the problem yourself. Common issues such as hollow ice cubes or a frozen water line can often be fixed by replacing one or two simple and inexpensive parts. Check your owner’s manual for additional tips on how to troubleshoot your LG ice maker. If you need replacement parts, you can purchase them from a hardware store or order them directly from LG’s website. Remove the refrigerator’s power cord from the electrical outlet. You can also turn off the breaker switch for the kitchen if it is too hard to reach the outlet. Remove the ice maker bin and clear out any stray ice cubes from the ice maker area. Check the ice maker power switch to make sure it is set to the “On” position. Make sure the shutoff arm is down. Inspect the water supply line that connects to the rear of the refrigerator.
