The PSP portable game console relies on the authorized PSP charger made by Sony to power the battery when playing at home or on-the-go. A PSP charger that is not working renders the PSP unusable and is costly to replace. There are a number of steps you can take to troubleshoot the PSP charger to find out why it is not working. Troubleshooting the PSP charger can help you discover if it is defective or just needs a fix. Rub the AC socket and the power plug of the PSP charger with the dry washcloth to remove any dirt or debris that might have accumulated. Put a towel down on a work surface. Put the PSP face down on the clean towel. Remove the battery compartment from the back of the PSP and remove the battery. Replace the battery compartment and turn the PSP face up on the towel. Plug in the PSP charger’s power plug into the PSP and the AC plug of the PSP charger into the wall socket. Turn the PSP on by sliding the “Power/Hold” switch up and releasing it.
