How Do You Troubleshoot A Poulan Chainsaw Oiling System?
The oiling system on a Poulan chainsaw is a vital component, crucial to its proper functioning and optimum performance. Running a Poulan saw without proper chain and engine lubrication can cause serious damage to your saw. The oiling system includes the oil tank, oil filter, oil lines, oil pump and bar oiler, along with a few dozen other parts. If any of these parts aren’t working correctly, you will experience problems when cutting. Troubleshooting an oil problem on a chainsaw will take some time and patience due to the complexity of the oil system. Adjust the oiler screw (located on the bottom of the saw) with the screwdriver. If it is turned down too far, you may not be getting enough oil to the bar. Increase the screw by turning it toward the plus sign.
