How Do You Troubleshoot A Kenmore Gas Dryer Thermostat?
When a Kenmore gas dryer will not heat properly, the thermostat should be tested. The do-it-yourself homeowner will need the owner’s manual for the particular model owned. This will be needed to receive instructions on removing the dryer cabinet to gain access to the thermostat. If the thermostat is defective, it will have to be replaced. Disconnect the power to the dryer by unplugging it from the wall electrical outlet. Shut off the gas supply to the dryer as well.
