General Electric’s line of Artica Profile refrigerators features both a refrigeration container and a freezing container. These refrigerators are typically more expensive than other units, but the added expense is offset by reliability. This is not to say, however, that the Artica does not experience its share of problems, but correcting most common problems with this unit is simply a matter of making some simple adjustments. Ensure that the power supply cord which exits the back of the refrigerator is firmly plugged into an electrical outlet. Look at the fuse box for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Allow at least 30 minutes to pass for the motor to turn on. Once the refrigerator reaches its temperature setting, its motor automatically turns off.
