A rash from Poison Ivy can cause agony if left untreated. It is an allergic reaction to contact with the oil of the poison ivy plant. Poison ivy grows low to the ground in shrubs or in vines. Symptoms will normally develop within 24 to 72 hours of contact. These symptoms may include an itchy, blistering rash, a rash that may “weep”, or a rash that appears in straight lines or streaks.
