How Do You Treat Fungus On Oak Trees?

0

A warm, humid summer can cause fungus to grow on your otherwise stately, beautiful oak trees. This fungus can infiltrate the wood of the tree and steal vital nutrients that are necessary for the tree to thrive. It is important to rid your oak trees of this unsightly and potentially dangerous fungus before they are damaged beyond repair. This removal can be accomplished with products that are safe for yourself, your pets and your children. Pour 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide into a bucket. Add 9 cups of water to the bucket and stir the two ingredients well. Pour the mixture into a plastic spray bottle. Shake the bottle to ensure that the hydrogen peroxide is well incorporated into the water. Spray the mixture directly on the fungus daily until it is completely eliminated. Repeat this process each time the fungus returns. This mixture can also be used on your lawn, flowers and plants.
