How Do You Treat Fire Ant Bites And Stings?
Fire ant stings are incredibly itchy and burn terribly. Fire Ants use their mouth to grab their victim and inject their stinger and release venom. The site of a fire ant bite and sting is a very red welt which will then develop a white blister on top, next to it you will find 2 very tiny puncture marks. If you are allergic to fire ant bites and stings seek immediate medical attention. Wash the bite and sting site with an antibacterial soap and cool water. Raise the area that was stung above your heart if possible. Take an over the counter antihistamine such as Benedryl. Apply fresh Aloe to cool some of the burning sensation from the fire ant sting. Put ice on the sting sites. Be sure to put a thin towel over your skin before applying ice to protect your skin from further damage. Leave the ice on for 15 to 20 minutes. Apply white vinegar to the stings with a piece of cotton. Dab the white vinegar on. Do not rub it in. Rubbing can cause the blister to break and increase the chances of a
