A pinched nerve for a dog is extremely painful, and if you don’t get it treated soon, your dog will let you know how painful it is. Reactions can be a difficulty walking or trying to bite at the afflicted area, among other problems. When a pet problem begins to affect your dog to the point of vocalization, take your animal to the vet. Like dealing with major injuries in the back, neck, skull or ribcage, transport them with little jostling. For many pinched nerves, a good way to get treatment is for them to see a chiropractor. Talk to your vet, as they should be able to help you set up with one. That doesn’t mean your dog will be seeing them forever; it may not take that long. A newer treatment, and one that you may want to discuss with your vet, would be acupuncture for your animal.
