How Do You Treat A Burnt Tongue?
Ever regret taking that first bite into that pizza that just came out of the oven? I know you couldn’t help it. but now your tongue is in pain from the 400 degree mozzarella cheese. There are things you can do to help soothe the pain. Cool the area of the tongue immediately. An ice cube is perfect for this. Apply the ice cube directly to the area that is in pain. Leave it on for at least one minute. If you have honey available, apply this to the burned area. Just spread on a thin layer and leave it in place for one minute. if you have access to Orajel this can be a big life saver. Orajel will temporarily numb the painful area. This can really help if the pain is severe. If you have access to an aloe plant then use a small amount of the aloe vera from inside the leave on your tongue. Try not to swallow this though, just wipe off after 15-30 seconds. Do not use bottles aloe vera for this.
