Recently, I traveled to Okinawa, Japan for a business trip. Though I did extensive research, there wasn’t much useful information before I arrived to this beautiful island. In this article, I will give advice on some little things that can make your trip a bit more enjoyable. Leave on a Friday afternoon. Because of the time change, you should get to Okinawa in the evening on Saturday Okinawa time. Nap for the first few hours on the plane. Then try to stay awake until you get there. To reduce or eliminate jet lag, get on their schedule as soon as possible. Bring a really good book. The flight from Atlanta, Georgia (with only one layover) is roughly 16 hours (24 hours including the actual layovers). If you get board, watch the free movies and TV shows to break the boredom when you’re too tired to read. Change your money in the airport.
