How Do You Travel To Margarita Island, Venezuela?
Margarita Island, Venezuela, sits just 15 miles north of the Venezuelan mainland, and it’s a prime destination for a relaxing beach getaway. This tranquil piece of land not only boasts some stunning beaches and balmy year-round weather, but it also is home to five national parks for exploring the landscape and its exotic inhabitants. Other activities to entertain visitors include water sports, golf and touring historical structures and towns. Getting to the island can be done via ferry, airplane or cruise ship. Ferries run several times a day to and from the mainland city of Puerto La Cruz and Margarita Island. During certain major holidays a ferry also runs back and forth from Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela. Limited routes stopping at Coche Island and Cumana are offered as well.
