How Do You Transfer Programs Between Logical Drives?
Moving programs on your computer to another logical drive is one way that you can improve the computer’s performance. For example, the default drive on your computer is often the same drive that Microsoft Windows is running on. If that drive also has programs residing on it, it could downgrade the performance of your system. Moving programs from the default drive to a second logical drive may speed up Windows and other applications. Launch the file explorer software for your operating system. In Windows it’s called Windows Explorer and can be launched by clicking “Start,” “Programs,” “Accessories” and then “Windows Explorer.” Navigate to the directory in which your program is stored. You can either use the top text box to enter the path directly, or you can use the navigation pane to click the directory. In Windows Explorer, you might type “C:\Program Files\MyProgram” in to the top text bar, or click “My Computer,” “C:” and then “Program Files” and “MyProgram” in the navigation pane. H
