Jay, Verizon’s backup assistant only talks with the phone. As far as I know there is no way to go directly from the backup assistant to any other application. With most phones you could sync your phone to the backup assistant and the download it into the computer. You would need software depending on which type of phone you have. Let’s say you had a Blackberry and laptop. You lost both but you have the backup. You could use the backup assistant to reload the Blackberry and then attach the Blackberry to the computer and load the contacts into the computer. I hope that is what you were looking for.
