How Do You Train For Cross Country Running?
• Get enough sleep. About 9-10 hours are enough for your mind and body to repair itself and get prepare for the next day. • Eat right. Get enough vitamins, and drink enough water. When you’re training for cross country, it is absolutely vital that you drink enough water so you do not suffer from dehydration. • Start training. Run every day – don’t just run in a gym, run outside. The whole point of cross country is to get outside and run. Run a little further everyday, and you will exercise your heart, lungs and muscles. • On the day of the competition, make sure you get enough sleep. Eat a good healthy breakfast, and be on time for the competition. • Before the competition, limber up. If you don’t do this, you could stretch a muscle, or even break something, which might put your whole running career in jeopardy. Bring some water with you to drink when you’re running.
