An adventure race is a grueling competition which requires much time and effort spent training. Races lasting up to 24 hours require 12 to 16 weeks of training, while races lasting longer than 24 hours require up to a year of training. That is, of course, if you’re already in good shape. If not, be prepared to train longer. Select a race that is at least 12 to 16 weeks away. By knowing which race you plan to participate in and where it is, you will have a better idea of how to train.
