How Do You Train A Stubborn Dog?
• Know your trick, make sure you know what to do before you start • Get your dogs attention, use a whislte if calling his name dosen’t work • Find something your dog likes,some people have a problem with this because their dogs are already full and see no reason to work for more food so try putting you dog on a tight feeding scedule and feed him once every 5-7 hours so he is fed, but not over fed • For a trick such as sit, offer the treat but hold it up high so the dog has to wait • Your dog will most likely jump to get it, stare him in the eye and don’t move and say sit, just wait for him to sit If he sits say, “good sit!” and give him lot’s of praise.
