You don’t have to get another game but if I remember correctly if you trade in a certain amount of games you get that percentage of the new game you buy. However, if you just want to trade in games I think they give you cash back or they give you store credit, it’s one of the two.

At the gamestop I go to they give me credit and I can buy whatever I want…also buy an edge card (if you do it frequently), you get more for games you trade in that way and you also get a discount on other games.
